Welcome to Our Savior’sThere are so many new faces Our Savior, especially at the 9:30 worship. We are having trouble meeting and remembering people’s names. Could you help us? Would you allow us to take your picture, print it with your name, and place it in the narthex for a month? We promise not to sell you to an insurance company or anyone else selling Mary Kay or Avon or any other business or use it at the next committee meeting trying to fill some age old position. We simply don’t want you slipping through the cracks. We take your faith and you seriously. We’ll tell you when a photographer is present. Thanks! Our Savior's Lutheran Church, located at the intersection of West Sandwich Road and Pratt Road. To get to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, from the Main and U.S. Route 34 (Ogden Avenue) intersection, drive North to 6th Street and turn left (West) and continue on until Castle Street. Turn right (North) on Castle Street and continue North until reaching the new Our Savior's Lutheran Church location at the intersection of West Sandwich Road and Pratt Road. Stewardship - 46 years...We need to grow Our Savior’s. We have a ways to go to do Our Savior’s. We are only 104 years old. We have 46 years until we are 150. By then we’d better have our act together. The church convention shared the celebrations of several churches observing 150 year anniversaries. Each set a goal or project or challenge to accomplish in their 150th year. (We chose to relocate and put up a new building in our 100th!) Some brought 150 packets of jello and a gift of money, others shared their history through slides, one birthed a new congregation in Iowa through pledges of $52,000. Imagine a finished mortgage! What will we be in 46 years? How large a staff? How many new programs? Whom could we help? How could we serve Christ by serving others? How many new families? It is only 46 years away! We’d better start planting seeds, start praying to God’s Holy Spirit and get ready! Join the Choir in 2008! Let us sing our praises for our Lord in 2008! We've recently added several talented high school musicians to the Choir, but we will always seek more praising voices! |
